Land-Use Change in Cambodia

With over 200,000 hectares of forest lost each year, deforestation is one of the most pressing conservation issue in Cambodia. In addition to the direct conservation threat, deforestation is also suspected to contribute to disease emergence. In Cambodia, we are exploring the effect of deforestation on small mammal communities and their pathogens, by sampling rodent communities along a deforestation gradient.
