Welcome!

This site introduces on-going research with my research group, and retraces past experiences and projects.
A common thread through much of my research is an interest in the effect of human activities, from small-scale management decisions to large-scale environmental changes, on disease transmission and health at the interface of wildlife, livestock, and humans. Specifically, my research includes wildlife-livestock disease transmission, anthropogenic factors of zoonotic disease transmission (e.g. land-use change, wildlife trade), global wildlife disease surveillance, and drivers of wildlife health, with an overarching goal of exploring the linkages between health and conservation in complex socio-ecological systems.

Our research group recognizes the need to bring diverse perspectives and backgrounds to research, and we strive to continuously learn and improve how we create a welcoming and safe environment for research collaboration and education. If you are interested in working with us but are unsure that you will be able to thrive as part of our group, please do get in touch to discuss how we can best address these concerns and offer a positive working and learning experience.
