What are the drivers of pathogen transmission between individuals of different species? What is the effect of species co-mingling on pathogen dynamics? What are the consequences of the ecology and behavior of wildlife species on the transmission at wildlife-livestock interfaces? These are some of the questions I tried to address during my PhD research in Southwestern Alberta, Canada (see also my current work on the PPRV outbreak in Mongolian saiga)
